MISD Superintendent Dr. Ponce Explains TLC3

Students, educators, administrators and community leaders are excited about the unveiling of McAllen ISD's TLC3 program.
TLC3 stands for Teaching Learning in the Classroom, Campus and Community and is an ambitious endeavor by the district to put cutting edge technology, such as IPads and IPod Touch devices, in the hands of its 25,000 students.
Dr. James Ponce, superintendent of schools for McAllen ISD, recently interviewed with McAllen Cable Network Reporter Ray Pedraza about where the idea was hatched, how the district is paying for it and which students will have access to the devices first.
The City of McAllen is in discussions with McAllen ISD on increasing WiFi accessibility for the devices. Watch this YouTube video, produced by the McAllen Cable Network.
