Nature Series Comes to Quinta Mazatlan June Through August

Quinta Mazatlan, the McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center, is offering a summer series called Thursday Evening Family Explorations from June 10 through August 5, giving families an opportunity to explore nature up close and personal.
On Thursday, June 10, from 6:30 to 8:30, children of all ages will enjoy the flying demonstration by raptors. The Bird of Prey Conservancy, Last Chance Forever, is coming down from San Antonio for an amazing and educational show. The conservancy hopes to encourage a change in attitudes concerning birds of prey such as hawks, owls, falcons, vultures and eagles. Diversity of species is important for the survival of all species. Birds are early indicators of our ecological health and mankind is here to be the shepherd of the Earth.
Discover the raptors of North American at Quinta Mazatlan. Knowledge of basic raptor biology and natural behaviors, insights into the plight of the natural world and the human effects in the balance of living things is shared with the audience.
The Thursday Evening Family Explorations series is generously sponsored by Dr. Chris A. Freels Orthodontics. The summer series will feature nine entertaining and educational programs on the following dates, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm:
