Book Release Bash/School Tools Fundraiser

Book Release Bash/School Tools Fundraiser

Thursday, August 12th

6-10pm

Roosevelt’s at 7 in McAllen

Join local teacher, blogger and author Tom DeRosa as he celebrates the release of his new book, Teaching is Not a Four Letter Word: How to Stop Worrying and Love the Job.   Everyone knows how challenging and frustrating teaching can be—this book is a guide to surviving and thriving in the noblest profession.

The Book Release Bash will benefit the Food Bank RGV’s School Tools program, which provides free supplies to elementary teachers across the Valley.  Your $10 donation at the door includes your first drink from Roosevelt’s, and all proceeds go directly to supporting this great program.

Also, the School Tools program will be collecting their most-needed supplies, so please bring any new/lightly used items you have from this list:

  • ·      Scissors
  • ·      Glue
  • ·      Glue Sticks
  • ·      Rulers
  • ·      Wide Ruled Notebook Paper
  • ·      Erasers
  • ·      Pocket Folders
