Two Positive Women Launch New Organization
POW aims to empower women to live a better life
MCALLEN, Texas — Positive Only Women (POW), a non-profit organization aimed at empowering women, offers support and insights for Rio Grande Valley women who want to find personal and professional fulfillment. POW was created by two women, Giselle Mascarenhas-Gonzalez and Mariana Aguayo, who share the same enthusiasm of positive thinking.
With a motto like “Be Good to You!” POW brings an optimistic approach to encouraging women to enrich their lives.
“Nearly every woman I’ve met has had their low points in life, and I myself have had my moments, but through positive thinking I was able to overcome those challenges, making me as strong as ever,” said Mascarenhas-Gonzalez. “That is what POW is all about. We want to target self-empowerment, self-esteem, and personal and spiritual growth.”
The newly formed group meets twice a month on Monday’s from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. at Pepper’s Uptown located at 4620 10th St. in McAllen, Texas. There is no cost to attend.
“Our POW meetings are an hour of fun and positive life-changing opportunities in a positive environment. Negativity is left at the door and is not allowed,” said Aguayo. “We bring together women who share experiences and wish to create effective connections.”
Upcoming POW meetings are August 10, 24, and September 1. Further information on Positive Only Women can be found at www.positiveonlywomen.com
