City of McAllen needs YOU!

Keep McAllen Beautiful needs plenty of volunteers for the Great American Cleanup and Don't Mess With Texas Trash Off, set on Saturday April 10, 2010, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Schools, civic groups and businesses are encouraged to gather their own teams of volunteers to help clean up McAllen streets, hike & bike trails, parks, schools and neighborhoods.  Everyone is treated to food, fun and prizes.  Plaques will be awarded to the organization with the most participation.

Participants will meet at McAllen Municipal Park, at 1921 North Bicentennial.  For more information call (956) 681-4066 or send e-mail to kmbmcallen@aol.com.

Teams should register by April 5.
