City of McAllen Offering Lifeguard Training, Summer Jobs

 

 

Interested in a different summer this year?  Become a City of McAllen lifeguard.  We will train you to become an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard.

Classes are taught on weekends only with the exception of March 15-17 class which meets on Monday and Tuesday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.  All other classes meet Fridays from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Location:  McAllen Boys and Girls Club

Dates: 

Session 1:  March 15th-17th

Session 2:  April 16th-April 25th

Session 3:  April 30th-May 9th

Session 4:  May 14th-May 23rd

Session 5:  May 28th-June 6th

Fee:  $95.00

$40.00 reimbursement fee, subject to two month seasonal employment.

Must be 15 years old to register for training; must be 16 years old to be employed.
