I love Kumori!!! My favorite is the Ridge location. I make it a point to dine at Kumori at least once a week but if I lucky...I'm there more. My favorite roll is the Kanki roll. But they are all so good...we try a new roll each week. The Calamari Tempura is the bomb and so is the fried spinach. Mixed Sunomono Salad is a must!! I'm getting hungry thinking of the great food and wonderful atmosphere.

I love Kumori and so does my wife. It's probably the best sushi place in the valley bar none. We love the atmosphere and all the places are good. The one behind Target on Jackson in McAllen and the one at Palms Crossing in Mission are our more favorite locations. Although all are quality.
The appetizers we recommend: the spicy endame, the fried spinach (with the sauce it tastes just like salt and vinegar potato chips), the jalepeño is good, the cheese kusi-age is yummy and the fried mushrooms are so yumm. The sunomono mixed is a delicious start to any dinner or lunch.
Rolls: I'll be honest, I don't think I have a favorite roll. I actually try to get a different roll everytime I go just so I can try em all. My wife however loves the Tootsie and the Nevada. If you've never had sushi before start with a California. Can't go wrong. It's one of the most basic rolls. If u love fish, try a rainbow roll or even just a sashimi salad. Yummy and healthy for u!
if u want a true Japanese experience try some green tea and make sure u use your chopsticks. Sake will help u relax too
As far as dessert, we've only tried the fried ice cream but it is yummy. Bring a friend.

I LOVE everything about Kumori!! My bf & I try at least 1 new roll everytime we go, but ALWAYS order the Cosmos Roll. We go at least once a week to the Palms Crossing or Uptown locations. He loves the Kalypso Roll & I love the Kani Ika Roll w/out the spicy mayo. To start try the spicy edamame or the very crisp & light Sunomo salad(any version). If you've never eaten Sushi before, or are hesitant about raw fish, try the basic California Roll with imitation crab or the Earth Roll with cooked shrimp.

I <3 kumori and all of their cuisine, but I have to say my favorites are fortune, kumasa and my very favorite ....FIJI (: I can't leave out the eel and the hot sauce ;) when I take some to go.. I save the hot sauce to cook with in the mornings with some eggs (: lol. No joke!

...U guys should def. Think about opening up another location in edinburg near pan-am (:

Back when i was going to college i remem er one week when i literally went from monday to friday. I love the sushi at kumori my fave roll is the sushi roll. I also like to get the edamame but not forgeti ng the miso soup!
